Steven P. Handelin is the founder and president of Handelin Law, LTD, where he and his team of attorneys focus on estate planning, business formation and advisement, litigation, workers’ compensation, real property, mineral rights, asset protection, administrative law, and more. He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Nevada and California. Mr. Handelin is a member of the American Bar Association, Nevada Bar Association, California (Trusts and Estates Section) Bar Association, Washoe County Bar Association, Cannabis Bar Association and First Judicial District Court Bar Association. Steven attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned degrees in Financing and Marketing in 2001 with minors in Economics and Computer Information Systems. After graduation, Steven then went on to the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate, with a concentration in intellectual property in 2005. During law school, Steven was an extern at the California Youth Authority where he became familiar with the administration and policies of the juvenile legal system. In between his second and third years, he was a legal extern for the Honorable William A. Maddox in the First Judicial District Court in and for Carson City and Storey County. Once out of law school, he went on to clerk for the Honorable William. A. Maddox in Department II of the First Judicial District Court. While he was an associate at Rowe & Hales, he practiced a broad range of areas. From representing unincorporated town boards and general improvement districts to individuals.
Steven Handelin is currently an active member of the American Bar Association, Nevada Bar Association, California Bar Association, Washoe County Bar Association, National Cannabis Bar Association, First Judicial District Court Bar Association, and Trusts and Estates Section of the California Bar Association.
